Category:QuranThe present invention relates to a new and distinct cultivar of Osteospermum plant botanically known as Osteospermum ecklonis and hereinafter referred to by the cultivar name ‘Balsupply’.
The new cultivar originated in a controlled breeding program in Elburn, Ill. during October 2013. The objective of the breeding program was the development of Osteospermum cultivars that are freely flowering with unique flower coloration and a well-branched, compact growth habit.
The new Osteospermum cultivar is the result of cross-pollination. The female (seed) parent of the new cultivar is the proprietary Osteospermum ecklonis breeding selection coded F-36-21-1, U.S. Pat. No. 7,491,834, characterized by its white-colored inflorescences having a light green-colored center, dark green-colored ray florets with dark green-colored disk florets, medium green-colored foliage, and moderately vigorous, mounding-type growth habit.
